Hobart, Tasmania – “Your Natural State”

I just arrived in Hobart, Tasmania. My hostel kind of stinks… it is pretty gross, but it’s a place to stay.

The city is really nice… a nice break from the big city craziness of Melbourne. It is also a lot cooler here (I assume because it’s closer to the Antarctic Ocean). It’s just a simple port city surrounded by some rolling mountains.

There’s no need for a bus pass – it’s small enough to walk, which is really nice. I’ve just been exploring the city, including its main attractions like the Salamanca Marketplace, the parks, the port, the Cascade Brewery, etc.

Port of Hobart... Hold on!

Pretty park

A very simple, small town
